Who should enroll in Coaching Essentials?

This program is designed for ACC, PCC or MCC coaches looking to enhance their skills and build a thriving coaching practice specializing in leadership development. What is the difference between Coaching Essentials and Coaching Fundamentals?

Coaching Fundamentals is an introductory program that builds competence and confidence as a leadership coach. Particiapnts graduate ready to coach in the field such as their workplace or in private practice.

Coaching Essentials picks up where Coaching Fundamentals leaves off. In practicum sessions, participants challenge each other to practice the coaching competencies and reach their highest potential.

In the mastermind sessions, participants build their knowledge of leadership development and coaching culture by diving into the rich resources provided in the program, and through group dialogue that taps into into collective wisdom and knowledge.

What is the difference between Coaching Essentials, Coaching Fundamentals, and Leadership Excellence?
  • Coaching Fundamentals is designed to build a solid foundation in coaching skills. This course is ideal for those starting their coaching journey or for managers who wish to integrate coaching into their leadership style. It prepares participants to start a private practice, work as an internal coach, or lead teams more effectively.

Do I need to be ICF Certified to qualify for this program?

Yes, you need to be a graduate of our Coaching Fundamentals Program (CF) or any equivalent ICF Certification and read and agree to terms and conditions as provided in the Participant and Faculty Handbook.

How is the training delivered, and what is the curriculum?

Coach education training takes place on our world-class membership platform, with online live sessions. Download our brochure for the complete curriculum. Group training sessions for your organization can also be arranged.

Will I get a certification?

Yes! Upon successful completion of the program, you will become a Graduate and receive a certificate acknowledging your training in Coaching Essentials which is required to pursue your ICF Certification. If you wish to complete the ICF pathway to the PCC, we will work with you to become a Certified Graduate. A Certified Graduate is a student who completes the training, as well as the mentor coaching and performance evaluation required to apply for a PCC.

What kind of support will I receive during the program?

Participants will receive ongoing support from client services and instructors, access to course materials and extensive resources, and opportunities for one-on-one coaching with faculty. Additionally, there are forums and discussion groups for peer support and collaboration.

Will there be opportunities for practical coaching practice during the program?

Yes, the program includes extensive practical coaching sessions, during which participants practice their skills with peers and receive feedback from each other and members of the faculty. These practice sessions are integral to developing effective coaching techniques.

Can you run a private training program just for my employees?

Yes! Private training programs can be custom-created to fit your schedule and organizational needs. We require a minimum of 5 participants to create a private, custom training program. Less than 5 participants? Your employees can participate in our public cohorts.

Is this a board-certified coach certification?

No, board-certified coach credentialing (or BCC) is credentialling using coaching standards established by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CEE). CEE is an organization that certifies students who have a Master’s or PhD in counseling, social, or behavioral sciences and wish to pursue a coaching designation to better serve their clients.
